A LOG is a list of items, where each item, is a row of data—each row represents a Template
A TEMPLATE, is the precursor of a Form—it is the onscreen presentation of a Form, before it’s printed

Published / Printed:

A FORM is the real paper document published/printed—it shows the data entered into the Log (historically Forms were created in word documents)
A REPORT is a real paper document listing all the Forms, in the project

There was a time, when spell check and cut + paste features didn’t exist. This made word documents and spreadsheets labour-intensive. Forms Index

Quickly attach PDFs and image files to any logged item in FIVE, through drag-and-drop (with Windows Explorer and Microsoft Outlook integration), or copy + paste, through the standard Windows file picker.

Attachments are automatically sent to central storage on your FIVE server, and are immediately accessible to everyone with access to the project. Attached files will also be automatically merged into your main document after selecting one of the output actions (print, email, export to PDF).

No additional software licenses are required for PDF processing (e.g. Adobe Acrobat), helping keep costs low.
The contact picker makes it quick and easy to find the right contact for linking to action items and distribution lists. By default you only see contacts that are related to the current job, meaning you won’t accidentally send documents to wrong but similarly named individuals.
Customizable templates put you in complete control of your Contract Admin documentation.

Standardize and maintain consistent branding and messaging across your enterprise, regardless of variable jurisdictional, regional, and client requirements.

Access to the template layout features can be controlled on a per-user basis, enforcing and protecting the standards you develop.

The in-place editing features of FIVE let you type directly into your reports and forms for an extremely efficient data-entry workflow. Take advantage of features such as drag and drop, and integration with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

You can define custom reusable abbreviations and titles for lists such as “discipline”, “reason”, and “status” for use on your forms and reports. Selecting the appropriate list item is a quick and easy point and click operation, ensuring you always issue consistent and typo-free documentation.
The magic wand tool is a real time saver.

Before you log a new item, click the magic wand and FIVE will fill-in as much data as possible for you auto-magically. For example, the item type and next available document number, the current date, and most recently referenced contacts will all appear with a single click.
